Domestic and Commercial Locksmiths
Made in Manchester

Getting the job done... whatever it takes!

If you have spoken to other domestic and commercial locksmiths found on the internet, you may have realised many of them aren’t in Manchester. In fact, most aren’t even locksmiths!

It’s usually easy to tell when you’ve reached an agency or call centre, as even a simple practical question is unlikely to be answered properly.

Imagine asking them to provide a risk assessment and quote for accessing a rooftop plant room to open and change the lock (where we were able to take the great photo of our city centre seen above, back in 2011).

On top of these national ad agencies, a large number of new locksmiths enter this job every month after being sold a one week training course that promises to change their life. Many have no related practical background and very limited skills, and the vast majority do not persist more than a few months in this 24 hour, 365 day profession.

In contrast, Faster Locksmiths is a family company run by father and son team Danny and Declan Fisher, who are third and fourth generation tradesmen.

Take a look at this photo of the family DIY shop taken in 1984. This was before the days of B&Q and was really more like a builder’s merchant of today – cutting keys and glass, stocking everything up to timber, ladders and cement mixers. Ken’s DIY closed in 1990 and the building is currently a fireplace showroom.

With the benefit of this deep rooted experience, we can often see solutions where others see only problems. We also carry a full range of stock to ensure the 100% right lock (size, colour, spec) is fitted every time. You will not get ‘it will do’ or an oversized lock fitted by Faster Locksmiths.

When you call us for a locksmith quote or with a question, your call will be answered by either Danny or Declan. In a small number of cases we may miss a call due to having our hands full with a job, but please leave us message and we will call you back.

Although the business is centrally located in Manchester, our roots are still near the old shop and this allows us to also provide an efficient service throughout Salford, Trafford and Warrington, both during normal working hours and for 24/7 emergency callouts.

We undertake residential locksmith services throughout the Manchester, Stockport, Salford, Trafford and Warrington areas. Commercial locksmith services are provided for customers including block and facility managers, schools, letting agents, estate agents, shops and offices.

For our customers’ peace of mind, we can also provide DBS certificates on request. These used to be known as CRB checks.
